Painting Cost Calculator

How much needs painting?

Why We Built This Calculator

Most painting companies will not talk about money until someone is standing in your living room, and getting there takes a week of phone tag. This calculator does the slow part for you. You answer a few short questions about your place, and we do the pricing on our side and send it to you.

It takes about a minute, there is nothing to install, and you are not committing to anything by using it.

What Drives the Price of a Paint Job

If your estimate comes back higher or lower than you expected, it is almost always one of these five things:

  • Room size and ceiling height. A bedroom with nine-foot ceilings takes noticeably longer than the same room at eight feet, and anything above that usually means staging.
  • The colour you are covering. Going light over dark, or covering a strong red or navy, often needs an extra coat. That is labour and material, so it shows up in the price.
  • Wall condition. Nail holes are nothing. Cracked plaster, water stains, peeling paint or old wallpaper glue is real prep work, and prep is what separates a job that lasts ten years from one that fails in two.
  • Trim, doors and ceilings. Walls alone is the cheapest version. Adding baseboards, casings, doors and ceilings can add a fair amount, because trim is slow, detailed work.
  • Access. A ground-floor house is simpler than a 32nd-floor suite that needs an elevator booking, a certificate of insurance and a loading dock slot.

What the Estimate Includes

Every price we quote covers labour, paint, primer where it is needed, masking and protection of floors and furniture, and full cleanup at the end. There is no separate charge for drop sheets, tape or showing up. If a job needs something unusual, such as major drywall repair or a specialty finish, we tell you before we start rather than after.

How Accurate Is It, Honestly

For a standard condo or a few rooms in a house, the number we work out from your answers is usually within about ten percent of the final written quote. Where it can drift is on older homes with a lot of repair work, or spaces with unusual heights and layouts. That is exactly why the on-site visit exists, and why it is free. We would rather find the surprise before you have a number in your head.

What Happens After You Send It

Your answers come straight to our estimators, and we get back to you with your price. Nobody is going to call you six times. If you want to move forward, we book a short visit, confirm the details and send a fixed written quote. If the timing is not right, there is no follow-up campaign waiting for you.
